Congratulate the winners of the Inria Prizes 2019 for their major contributions to digital science and technology, the deployment of promising innovations and the smooth running of our institute.

In addition to the scientific and internal prizes, an honorary prize will be awarded to Laurent Kott for his career and his support of deeptech startups. It will also be an opportunity to discover the special keynote of Marie Ekeland, co-founder of the Daphni investment fund.

Among the winners of the 2019 Awards Ceremony, Loïc Estève, Alexandre Gramfort, Olivier Grisel, Bertrand Thirion, Gaël Varoquaux, involved in the life of the DATAIA Institute.

They will receive the "Inria - Academy of Sciences - Dassault Systèmes Innovation Prize" for the scikit-learn project.

Scikit-learn is one of the three most widely used machine learning software programs in the world. Written in Python language, its aim is to make it easier for non-specialists to tackle the statistical learning problems at the root of the artificial intelligence revolution.
The software, developed since 2010 by the PARIETAL project-team, from the Inria Saclay research centre - Ile-de-France, is intended for all experimental sciences, from neuroscience to chemistry, and industrial applications. Its success is attested by the grouping of 1400 contributors worldwide, 42 million visits in 2018 and a consortium of user companies financing its development.
