The MSH Paris-Saclay and the DATAIA Institute, launched in December 2019 a call for projects aimed at fostering the emergence of excellent projects in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Society, led by researchers in Human and Social Sciences and numerical sciences from Paris-Saclay.
The objective of this initiative is to promote high-potential research projects, led by researchers from different units and disciplines in the Saclay area.

OTELO, the winning project of the call, proposes a multi-level analysis of the spoken language from large oral corpora, segmented and annotated automatically.

Led by Ioana Vasilescu (Université Paris-Saclay, CNRS, LIMSI) and Fabian Suchanek (Télécom Paris), the project will benefit from a budget of €160,000 over 24 months, including the funding of one to two post-doctoral students in human and social sciences.
