Since the launch of its National Strategy for AI, Singapore has been aiming to become a key international player by 2030. In 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong announced an investment of over S$1 billion in AI over five years. With an attractive tax framework, international collaborations and strong government support, the city-state is attracting giants such as Google, Microsoft and Nvidia, as well as more than 500 companies specializing in AI.

As the world's leading AI employer by 2021, Singapore is a key hub in Asia. AI is integrated into all sectors both public and private, such as transport and logistics, security, health, and education, and finance.
