The Alan Turing Institute
The Alan Turing Institute, the UK's national institute for data science and Artificial Intelligence, and the DATAIA Institute signed a partnership agreement on 5 July 2018 to promote collaboration between France and the UK.
The agreement was announced by Digital Secretary Matt Hancock during a visit to Paris as part of a package of measures to strengthen links between the UK and French digital industries.
Turing and DATAIA are pursuing collaborative research projects in areas of common interest such as fairness and transparency in algorithm design and implementation. They also work together to share knowledge and expertise between France and the UK, offering researchers mobility to spend time at each institute and organising workshops and joint calls for projects.
